Georgia Workman

A rosary is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Thursday, December 21, at Terpening & Son Mortuary for Georgia Ann Workman of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Workman, 55, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will take place following services under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Georgia was born on June 24, 1962 to Henry Jimenez and Chris (Chavarria) Jimenez in Artesia. She was a lifelong Artesia resident.

On June 20, 1998 she was married to Louis Workman in Artesia.

Georgia worked in home health care helping her mother take care of the elderly. She was member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, making blankets and beanies for people. Her love was getting to spend time with her family and keeping everyone in line.

Georgia was preceded in death by her sister Chriselda Jimenez; brother Henry Jimenez, Jr., and a nephew Bodie Duncan.

She is survived by her husband Louis Workman of the family home; parents Henry and Chris Jimenez of Artesia; daughter Shannon Galindo and boyfriend Mark Utley of Malaga, N.M.; sons Fabian Jimenez of Artesia, Christopher Galindo and fiance Veronica Lopez of Artesia, and twins John and Jacob Jimenez of Las Cruces, N.M.; sisters Loretta Parker and husband Johnnie of Brunswick, Georgia, and Teri Rodriguez and fiance Herman Martinez of Artesia; sister-in-law Diana Jimenez of Hobbs, N.M.; brother Candy Ray Jimenez and wife Peggy of Artesia; 7 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
