Georgia Mowery

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 16, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for Georgia Mae Mowery of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Mowery, 59, died Friday, November 12, 2004 at her home. Bro. David Moore of Tecula, Texas will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ronald Mowery, Peter Jones, Marty Spellenberg, Russell Hinshaw, Rodney Hinshaw, Damon Hinshaw, Pete Franco, Rosco Vaughn, Zane Vaughn, and Ernie Morgan. Mrs. Mowery was born August 28, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas; the daughter of George E. Boggs Jr. and Verda L. Baker Boggs. Her parents preceded her in death. On July 15, 1966 she was married to Lloyd L. Mowery in Artesia. A lifelong Artesia resident, she was a public school teacher and homemaker; and was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Lewis Mowery of the family home; daughters Galaine Mowery of Roswell, N.M. and Rebekkah Jones of Odessa, Texas; sisters Billie Hinshaw of Mayhill, N.M. and Susan Vaughn of Fresno, California; and grandchild Traci Jones of Odessa.
