Georgia Kennedy

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Terpening Son Chapel for Georgia Alice Kennedy of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Mrs. Kennedy, 74, died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

J.B. Craft will officiate at the services. Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Gremillion, Steve Wilson, Harlan Schuster, Blaise Seaford, and Hayden Schuster.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Kennedy was born August 19, 1936 in Glenwood, New Mexico the daughter of George Armstrong and Amanda Allison Armstrong.

On November 28, 1963 she was married to Charles Ray Kennedy in El Paso, Texas. She was a long time Artesia resident. He preceded her in death July 9, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents son Al Wilson 3 sisters and a granddaughter.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include her sons Charles Wade Blunt, Charles Lynn Kennedy, and Ricky Edward Wilson daughters Jeri Schuster, and Donna Kay Seaford sisters Daisy Drake, Wanda Herring, Marie Stone, and Divana Duncan 13 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren.
