George Graham

No local services are scheduled for George A. Graham Jr., 701 S. 18th St., Artesia, New Mexico. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mr. Graham, 78, died Monday, July 23, 2007 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Graham was born August 22, 1928 in Lubbock, Texas; the son of George A. Graham Sr. and Ruth E. Graham. On June 25, 1971 he was married to Jeanne Sanders in Artesia. He came to Artesia on Dec. 16, 1977 from Truth or Consequences, N.M. He served in the U. S. Air Force. He was an Attorney and member of the Episcopal Denomination, Rotary Club, Shriners, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, was past president of the Artesia Chamber of Commerce, member of the State Bar of Texas and New Mexico, member of the Alumni Assoc. N.M.M.I. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Jeanne Graham of the family home; sons George Gilbert Graham of Santa Fe, N.M., and Scot Mason Graham and wife Kathy of Bend, Oregon; daughters Lyndee Graham of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Bridgette Graham of Artesia, and Melissa Graham-LaMure and husband Michael of Austin, Texas; sister Janene Jenike of Dallas, Texas; 3 grandchildren Bradley Graham, Lily Graham and Lakota Graham-LaMure.
