Geneva Phillips

Graveside services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Woodbine Cemetery for Geneva Ruth Phillips, 1004 W. Dallas Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Phillips, 80, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.

Rev. J. B. Craft will officiate at the services.

Geneva was born June 23, 1931 in Pattonville, Texas the daughter of Wylie Anderson and Zelpha Zelpha Anderson. She came to Artesia in 1967 from Tyler, Texas.

On December22, 1951, she was married to Charles F. Phillips Jr. in Texarkana, Arkansas . He preceded her in death November 11, 2001.

She was a housewife and a member of Central Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, Moose Lodge, Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Charles F. Phillips III, a daughter Regina Lynn Williamson, a brother and five sisters.

Survivors include sons Paul Phillips of Artesia, and Reggie Phillips of Artesia 2 brothers, 2 sisters 9 grandchildren, and 17 greatgrandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a meal at 701 W. Richardson Ave., following the services.
