Geary Bethke

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May. 19, at Woodbine Cemetery, for Geary Bethke, 302 N. 4th St., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Bethke, 58, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at his home.

J.B. Craft will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Laurance Bethke, Quinton Champion, Miles Puckett, Chance Puckett, Lowell Buss, Shane Mann, Terry Pruett, Curtis Pennington, Ronnie Spangler Jr., and Dusty McCormick.

Geary was born March 16, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Walter L. Bethke and Madge M. Wallace Bethke. He was a longtime resident of Artesia.

He was a derrick hand in the oil field. He loved Artesia Football and was active at the Senior Center.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother Madge Nabours of Artesia sons David Bethke of Artesia, Geary Bethke of Albuquerque, N.M., and Dominic Bethke of Arlington, Texas daughters Amy Bethke of Albuquerque, and Felicity Bethke of Arlington brother Laurance Bethke of Artesia sisters Doris Lockler of Artesia, and Alice Reed of Artesia several grandchildren.
