Gary Lynes

Gary Lynes, 78, passed away on November 2, 2017 from complications related to cancer.

He was born in Siloam Springs, AR and moved to Artesia, NM in 1956. After serving 2 years in the armed forces, he attended college at Texas Tech and finished his degree at NMSU. He spent many years in Roswell working at TMC and Nova Bus as a design/production engineer. He was an accomplished artist and enjoyed drawing, painting and photography.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Marilyn Lynes, his wife, Marilyn Lynes (Scraper) and one nephew, Mark Walters.

He is survived by his 2 children, Sherri Sherwood (Allen) and Steve Lynes, one sister, Jan Duckworth (Jon), 2 grandchildren, Danielle and Michelle Frybarger, one niece, Christy Walters, two nephews, Brent Patterson (Leslie) and Bob Walters, 1 great-nephew, Brent Patterson (Bri) and 4 great-nieces, Amy and Nevaeh Patterson and Marenna Kaelee Havens.
