Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 14, at First United Methodist Church for Gary J. Heidenreich, West Dallas Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Heidenreich, 57, died Thursday, August 10, 2006 in Artesia.

Rev. Paul Dean Duerksen will officiate at the services. Cremation is under direction of Terpening amp; Son Mortuary. No public visitation is planned.

Mr. Heidenreich was born June 18, 1949 in Longmont, Colo.; the son of Fred Heidenreich and Florence Rotharmel Heidenreich. He grew up in Fort Lupton, Colo. and graduated from high school there. After graduation he attended the University of Northern Colorado and earned a bachelor's degree in education.

On December 13, 1970 he was married to Patricia Sue Wright in Longmont. He taught school in Mission, South Dakota for ten years and then returned to Colorado. The family came from there to Artesia in June of 1990.

He was a teacher with the Artesia Public Schools and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Patricia S. Heidenreich of the family home; sons Jacob Heidenreich of El Paso, Texas, Joshua Heidenreich of Las Cruces, N.M., and Jeffrey Heidenreich of the family home; a brother Ken Heidenreich of Fort Morgan, Colo.; and sisters Janet Krantz of Keysville, Ga. and Kathy Yost of Denver, Colo.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1492, Artesia, NM 88211.
