Freddy Sosa

A memorial mass is scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Thursday, October 6, at Our Lady of Grace Church for Freddy Sosa of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Sosa, 52, died Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services. Cremation is under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dominic Sandoval, Zakary Castaneda, Daniel Rubio, Benjamin Sosa, Roman Sosa, and Christopher Gomez-Sosa. A rosary is scheduled for Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace beginning at 6:30 P.M. Mr. Sosa was born July 7, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of Marcelino Sosa and Elvira Hernandez Sosa. He was a lifelong Artesia resident. He worked as a pipe-fitter and was a member of Our Lady of Grace. He was preceded in death by his mother, his brother, and a son. Survivors include his father Marcelino Sosa of Artesia; daughters Jessica Castanedo of Las Cruces, N.M., and Julie Vigil-Sosa of Mesa, Arizona; sons Todd Onsurez of Carlsbad, N.M., and Jerrin Sosa of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters Debra Sosa of Artesia, and Betty Lawson of Midland, Texas; brother Terry Sosa of Artesia; and three grandchildren.
