Fred Alvarez

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at West Main Baptist Church for Fred T. Alvarez of Artesia.

Mr. Alvarez passed away on January 4, 2021 in Artesia.

Pastor Jason Kraft will officiate services at West Main Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Terpening and Son Mortuary.

Pall Bearers: Ashley Alvarez, Rylan Ruiz, Isaac Vigil, JZ Ruiz, and Luke Vigil.

Fred was born August 31st, 1937, in Artesia to Pablo and Carolina Alvarez. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia. He is survived by his wife, Esperanza (Olga) Alvarez, four children, Diane, Paul & wife Judy, Carol & husband Mark Vigil, Karen and husband Ray Mendoza, and numerous grandchildren whom he loved so much.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, served as Eddy County Commissioner for two terms and was Owner/Operator of 3A Bonding Company for 25 years.
