Frank Saiz

Services are scheduled at 10 am on Saturday, August 23 at Terpening Son Chapel for Frank Eredia Saiz of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Saiz, 84, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at his home.

There will also be visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 am on Friday, August 22.

Michael Joiner will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Baeza II, John Baeza Jr., Chris Galindo, Nick Fuentes, Stephen Ontiveros and Eddie Ontiveros. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Frank was born April 2, 1930 in Artesia the son of Caylento Saiz and Tomasa Eredia Saiz. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

On September 15, 1962 he was married to Agripina Ontiveros in Artesia. In September 2000, he was married to Betty Gordon in Carlsbad, NM.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Before 1962 Frank was a clerk at Lowells Pharmacy. From 1962 to 1991 he was a clerk at Rays Drug Store. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, American Legion, Governor of the Moose Lodge in 1986, and American Cancer Society. He enjoyed Bulldog baseball and football and traveled the world to places he wanted to see. He was a great father, husband, grandfather and greatgrandfather and uncle to everyone. He was loved and admired by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, soninlaw David Baeza, brothers Hilario Saiz, Manuel Saiz, Juan Saiz and Jesus Saiz, sisters Alta Cota, Marcela Cortez, Francis Cortez and Ramona Lagunas and greatgranddaughter Brianna Nevaleh Galindo.

Survivors include wife Betty Saiz of Artesia sons Henry Saiz and wife Clara of Rociada, NM and Ernest Saiz daughters Ida Lake and husband Richard of Odessa, TX and Sara Galindo and husband Larry of Artesia stepson Ray Gordon of Artesia sister Margie Rodriguez of Visalia, CA sisterinlaws Stella Saiz and Pat Valenzuela brotherinlaw Roque Lagunas grandchildren Justin, Jessie, Marie and Hope Saiz, David and Gericela Baeza, John and Eloisa Baeza, Casandra and Andy Dominguez, Orlando Baeza, Jessica Saiz, Misty and Nick Fuentes, Samantha Saiz, Ashley Saiz, Larry Galindo Jr., Chris and Veronica Galindo and Shannon Galindo stepgranddaughter Mindy Gordon and husband Brenton greatgrandchildren John Baeza Jr., Bella Baeza, Damien Baeza, Serenity Fuentes, Justin Fuentes, David Baeza III, Crystal Baeza, Mary Elizabeth Baeza, Nadia Baeza, Lilliana Dominguez, Nicholas Dominguez, Jade Huerta, Abigail Huerta, Olivia Saiz, Isaiah Gonzales, Layla Rincon, Christian Galindo, Justin Galindo, Juan Alba, Luciano Galindo, stepgreat grandchildren Ivy Rose Gordon and Lydia Gordon.
