Frank Morris

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 6, at Terpening Son Chapel for Eugene Frank Morris, 1906 Runyan Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Morris, 89, died Monday, May 3, 2004 at Eastern N.M. Medical Center in Roswell, New Mexico. Wayne Derrick will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park with Masonic Graveside Rites. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Morris was born September 6, 1914 in Belt, Montana; the son of William Gentry Morris and Sara Roderick Morris. On Aug. 30, 1940 he was married to Kathleen Ball in Great Falls, Montana. He came to Artesia in 1966 from Pecos, Texas. She preceded him in death July 19, 1971. He was a claims processor for the Unemployment Security Commissions. He was a member of the Presbyterian denomination, and the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Rocky Morris, a brother, and a sister. Survivors include sons Gene Morris of Holton, Kansas, George Morris of Lake Arthur, N.M., Brad Morris of Lake Arthur, and Mark Morris of Tempe, Arizona; daughters Suzanne Stanfill of Raton, N.M., Cathy Huffmon of Kamiah, Idaho, and Debbie Hopkins of Cloudcroft, N.M.; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
