Memorial graveside services are tentatively scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Frank Dallas Guinan of Artesia, New Mexico.
Frank Guinan, 72, died January 18, 2020 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.
Vernon Asbill will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.
Honary pallbearers are all of his friends and associates at Navajo Refinery Corporation--which were a huge part of his professional career.
Frank was born December 11, 1947 in Artesia, the son of Henry Guinan and Florence (Greninger) Guinan.
Frank served his country in the United States Navy.
On September 3, 1969 he was married to Linda Smith in Artesia, New Mexico.
Frank went to work at Navajo Refinery immediately upon his honorable discharge from the Navy where he was employed from 1969-2006. He was the Operations Manager at the time of his retirement. He was an avid golfer and member of the Artesia Country Club where he had many friends and golfing buddies. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV and spoiling his family. Frank was past President of Artesia Parents & Booster's Club, a Coach and President of Artesia Babe Ruth Baseball, and a coach of Artesia Softball League. He had the pleasure of coaching each of his children. He was a den leader for the Webolos Scouts branch of Boy Scouts---and he was Boy Scout himself. And a graduate of Artesia High School.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Stancie Guinan Hammond.
Frank is survived by sons Robert Guinan, and his wife Holly, grandson Trevor Frank Guinan of Denver; Taggart Guinan of Odessa, grandaughter, Desiree Kay Guinan. Son in-law Charles & Cassidy Hammond, and grandson Stran Stone Hammond of Artesia. Frank is also survived by his sister Cheryle Guinan Streich. He is also survived by brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Norman and Sylvia Smith of Artesia, Charles and Nona Smith of Crowley, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
