Floyd Anderson

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at First Baptist Church for Floyd W. Anderson, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Anderson, 74, died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home.

Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.

Floyd was born March 9, 1939 in Pasadena, Texas the son of William Henry Anderson Jr. and Edna Elizabeth Johnson Jr. He came to Artesia in 1958 from Imperial, Texas.

On July 12, 1959 he was married to Jeanne Starkey in Loco Hills, NM.

He was a pumper for MYCO Industries, a member of First Baptist Church, a Deacon, and loved his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents .

Survivors include his wife Jeanne Anderson of Artesia son Mike Anderson and wife Tammy of Artesia daughter Marla Schneider and husband Hondo of Midland, Texas sister Barbara Day of Kermit, Texas 4 grandchildren Jessica Schneider of Lubbock, Texas, Brandt Schneider of Midland, Dusty Anderson of Pullman, Washington, and Ty Anderson of Las Cruces, NM several nieces and nephews.
