Floy Louise Bruner Tucker, 88, passed away on May 16th 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. Floy was born on July 10, 1933 in Lepanto, AR to Marvin and Ethel Bruner.
Floy grew up and graduated high school in Richmond, CA. She met and married the love of her life, Delva Duane Tucker, on May 19, 1953 in Walnut Creek, California. They moved to Artesia, New Mexico in 1957 and made it their home for the next 60 years. Together they had two children who were the light of their lives, Charles Ray Tucker and Nelva Louise Tidwell. Floy was a faithful Christian and told everyone she knew about his saving grace. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ in Hope, NM. Floy was a retired school bus driver where she drove a bus for Artesia School District for 25 years. After retirement, she enjoyed reading, crafting, crocheting, collecting salt and pepper shakers, camping and traveling. Her favorite thing above all, was spending time with her family and friends. Floy will be remembered by her contagious smile, chuckle, wittiness and her "stink eye" look. She loved people with everything she had but most of all, she loved the Lord.
Floy is survived by her daughter, Nelva Tidwell and husband Vann Tidwell of Fort Worth, TX. Her grandchildren Amber Castillo and husband Frank Castillo of Ponder, TX; Eric Tulk of Artesia, NM; Cody Tulk and wife Kaitlan Tulk of Artesia, NM; Delanie Temple and husband Joseph Temple of Ponder, TX. Her great- grandchildren; Taylor Tulk, Aubrey Tulk, Ashtyn Castillo, Ella Tulk, Camdyn Castillo, Landyn Castillo, Lucas Tulk and Lane Tulk. And her beloved grand-dog Ozzy.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Delva Duane Tucker. God took him home on August 14th, 2016 & after 63 years of marriage Floy was ready to be reunited with him in Heaven. Son, Charles Ray Tucker; Father, Marvin Bruner; Mother, Ethel Bruner; and brother, Marvin Bruner.
Pallbearers include Vann Tidwell, Eric Tulk, Cody Tulk, Joseph Temple, Frank Castillo, and Chuck Tidwell.
A funeral service will be held at Terpening & Son in Artesia, NM on May 31st, 2022 at 10am with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Cemetery.Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2 to 6 pm on Monday May 30th.
