Florence Guinan

Graveside services are scheduled at 9:30 am. Friday, April 23, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park, for Florence L. Guinan, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Guinan, 92, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia.

Rev. David Groesnick will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Mrs. Guinan was born April 19, 1918 in Attica, Kansas the daughter of Garfield Greninger and Dora Hamilton Greninger.

On Dec. 24, 1945 she was married to Stanley Guinan in Carlsbad, N.M. She came to Artesia in 1945 from Carthage, Missouri. He preceded her in death November 1971.

She was a sales clerk for Whites Auto, Marshas and David James. She was a member of First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two granddaughters Janet Streich and Stancie Guinan Hammond.

Survivors include son Frank Guinan and wife Linda of Artesia daughter Cheryle Streich of Fresno, California 4 grandchildren Robert Guinan, Taggart Guinan, David Streich and Karen Rogers and 7 greatgrandchildren.
