Florence Diaz

Memorial services are scheduled for 9:30 am, Monday, August 26, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church for Florence H. Diaz of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Diaz, 98, died on August 15, 2024 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Fr. Frances Lazer will offiicate at the services with burial following at Woodbine Cemetery.

A rosary is also scheduled for 9 am on Monday at St. Anthony's.

Florence was born on April 29, 1926 in Artesia; the daughter of Jorge Hernandez and Martina Garcia. She was married to Robert Diaz. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son James Rocca, five sisters and six brothers.

Survivors include her children Laura Rocca, Roberta Rocca, Martin Rocca and John Diaz; and by a sister Cruz Alvarado.
