Fernando Perez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Fernando Nano Perez of Kasson, Minnesota.

Mr. Perez, 54, died Thursday, October 7, 2010.

Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Luis Perez, Jr., Israel Perez, Jr., Renwick Jacket, Jr., Agapito Araujo, Jr., Ralph Romero, and Robert Romero.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace beginning at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Perez was born May 17, 1956 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Gonzalo Perez and Erlinda Luevano Perez.

He served his country in the United States Army.

Nano was a longtime Artesia resident until moving to Minnesota 2 years ago.

He was a cook and a graduated of Lake Arthur H.S. in 1975. He was also a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Fernando was preceded in death by his brother Jose Alfredo Perez.

Survivors include his parents Gonzalo and Erlinda Perez of Artesia brothers Israel Perez and wife Rhonda of Moriarty, N.M., Luis Perez and wife Nora of Artesia, and Albert Perez of Mesa, Arizona sisters Corrina Araujo and Joe Torres of Artesia, and Margaret Lee and husband Paul of Cortez, Colorado nephews Agapito Araujo, Michael Araujo, Israel Perez, Jr., Luis Perez, Jr., and Renwick Jacket, Jr. nieces Stephanie Eyvonne Perez, Crystal Baca, Serrina Gonzales, Denise Perez, and Eve Shetterly.
