Fern Richardson

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, at Woodbine Cemetery for Fern Richardson, 1114 5. 4th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Richardson, 74, died Saturday morning, September 16, 2006 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Gary Standard will officiate at the services. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday. Fern was born March 20, 1932 in Texarkana, Texas; the daughter of Andrew Brock and Lois Evans Brock. She came to Artesia in 1950 from Kansas. On July 28, 1951 she was married to Ralph Richardson in Roswell, N.M. He preceded her in death Jan. 19, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a son Bobby Richardson in 1984; by brothers L.D. Brock, Bill Brock and Tom Brock; and by sisters Wilma Standard and June Gooch. She was a retired telephone operator with Bell Telephone Company and a member of West Main Baptist Church. Survivors include sons Terry Richardson of Flora Vista, N.M. and Jimmy Joseph of Artesia; a daughter Radel McKibben of Durango, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
