Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, at Trinity Temple Assembly for Felipe A. Ramos of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Ramos, 84, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.
Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Samuel Ramos, Oscar Sosa, Robert Pantoja, Byron Wedell, Tony Gonzalez, and Billy McCrory.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Monday from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m.
Felipe was born August 5, 1929 in Presidio, Texas the son of Felipe and Locadia Ramos. He came to Artesia in 1950s from Texas.
On February 17,1958 he was married to Mary Delgado in Roswell, N.M.
He was an equipment operator and laborer for the Artesia Compress until retiring in the 80s. Felipe attended Trinity Temple and was a member of the Artesia Senior Center. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and had a love for animals and reading the bible.
Felipe was preceded in death by his parents sisters and a brother.
Survivors include his wife Mary D. Ramos of the family home his only son Samuel Ramos and wife Jenni of Las Cruces, N.M. daughters Mary Ann Alavarado and husband Sam of Las Cruces, Sylvia Eaton of Clovis, N.M., Katherine Smith and husband Steve of Kansas, and Amelia Smith of Artesia 11 grandchildren 6 greatgrandchildren sister Teofila Rodriguez of Artesia and numerous nieces and nephews.
