Felipa Acosta

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Our Lady of Grace Church for Felipa Acosta, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Acosta, 88, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at Lea Regional Hopsital in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery.

A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace Church.

Mrs. Acosta was born January 9, 1922 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Faustino Calderon and Petra Velasquez Calderon.

On Sept. 5, 1945 she was married to Rudolph B. Acosta in Artesia, NM. She was a lifelong resident.
He preceded her in death July 12, 1992.

She was a housewife. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and a volunteer at Artesia General Hospital.

Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include sons Leo Acosta of Hobbs, Rudy Acosta of Hobbs, Jessie Acosta of Albuquerque, N.M., and Noel Acosta of Carlsbad, N.M. daughter Linda Callahan of Rusk, Texas sisters Manuela Zamudio of California, and Reynalda Angeles of California 4 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
