Fcc Salter

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at West Main Baptist Church, Artesia, NM for Nicholas Hairston Salter, 11364 Hawk St., White Sands MR, New Mexico.

Mr. Salter, 34, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his home.

Burial will be at the Williamson Ranch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be ENS Kyle Van Leuven, LTJG Gene Harrell, DCC Nolan Freyoux, FCC Eric Rodriguez, FCC Brian White, and GM1 Kenneth Marsh.

Nicholas was born March 28, 1981 in Lincoln, Alabama; the son of Ronnie Salter and Elizabeth (McCullough) Salter. He came to New Mexico in 2006 from Mississippi.

On Dec. 30, 2006 he was married to Erin Williamson in Lakewood, NM.

He was actively serving in the United States Navy where he was a fire controllman.
He loved to hunt, fish ride his Harley and being outdoors, and was an avid Alabama football fan.

Survivors include his wife Erin Salter of White Sands MR; father Ronnie Salter of Lincoln, Alabama; mother Elizabeth Hall of Taladega, Alabama; son Austin Alexander of Springville, Alabama; daughter Taylor Salter of White Sands MR; sisters Holly Posey of Trussville, Alabama, Lori Salter of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Jana Kipping of Lincoln, Alabama.
