Faustino Gonzales

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, May. 18, at Terpening Son Chapel for Faustino Cachi Gonzales of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Gonzales, 81, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Artesia General Hospital.

Tyrone Towns will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Faustino was born July 29, 1930 in Carlsbad, New Mexico the son of Santana Gonzales and Antonia Rodriguez Gonzales. He was a lifelong resident of the Artesia area.

Faustino served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II.

He was married to Vera C. Corona in Carlsbad.

He was an owneroperator of a janitorial company and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.

Faustino was preceded in death by his parents daughter Dianna Hammond three brothers and a greatgrandchild.

Survivors include his wife Vera C. Gonzales of the family home sons Tony Gonzales of Artesia, Israel Gonzales of Hobbs, N.M., Jesse Leos of Roswell, N.M., and Danny Leos of Hobbs daughters Nancy Morales and Helen Gonzales both of Artesia brothers Joe Florez and Alejandro Florez both of Carlsbad 17 grandchildren 21 greatgrandchildren and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren .
