Services are scheduled for 10 am Tuesday, January 24 at Faith Baptist Church for Fabian Alberto Chavez of Artesia, New Mexico.
Fabian, 17, died on January16, 2023 at his home in Artesia.
Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary on Monday from 2 to 6 pm.
Fabian was born on July 29, 2005 in Roswell, New Mexico; the son of Adalberto Chavez and Mary Salinas.
He enjoyed playing his Xbox, working at the dairy, going to the river, dancing, laughing and hanging out with his brothers, sisters and cousins, and most of all getting on his mom's last nerve.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Hermelinda Huerta, Olga Salinas, and cousin Dominic Marquez.
Survivors include his mother Mary Mora and husband Gabino; father Adalberto Chavez; brothers Gabino Mora Jr. and Gary Mora; sisters Isabel Chavez, Anyssa Chavez and Cataleya Mora; grandmother Rosa Morales and husband Jimmy; grandfather Carlos Salinas; and also by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
