Evelyn Coor

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at Woodbine Cemetery for Evelyn L. Coor of Artesia, New Mexico.

Michael Joiner will officiate at the services.

Visitation at will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Coor, 80, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Lakeview Christian Home in Carlsbad, N.M.

Evelyn was born December 29, 1929 in Cottonwood, New Mexico the daughter of Edd L. Parnell and Mable J. Watson Parnell. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Evelyn was a lifelong resident of the Artesia area. On July 21, 1950 she was married to Eugene Coor in Artesia.

She was a bookkeeper and a member of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ. She was also a member of the sorority Beta Sigma Phi, active in bowling, and bridge club. She enjoyed painting china and studying genealogy.

Survivors include her husband Eugene Coor of the family home son Jerry Coor and wife Charlene of Austin, Texas brothers Ralph Parnell of Capitan, N.M. and Gene Parnell of Artesia.
