Eva Neel

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at West Main Baptist Church for Eva G.G. Neel of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Eva G.G. Neel, loving mother, wife, grandma, greatgrandma, sister and friend, died Monday, January 24, 2011 at her home.

Jason Kraft will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Craig Boulden, Chad Boulden, Scott Neel, Jarad Neel, Wesley Neel, and Dakota Neel. Honorary pallbearers will be Otis Yates, Laramie Rollins, Brian Harlan, Dane Wade, and Phil Baumgardner.

She was born April 13, 1927 in Polar, Texas the daughter of M.C. Newsom and Alice Ford Newsom.

She worked for years raising her children working on the farm, and when her children went to school she worked in the Central Elementary School Cafeteria before retiring in 1990.

She attended school in Hope, N.M. where she met the love of her life. On Nov. 6, 1945 she was married to John H. Neel, Sr. in El Paso, Texas. He preceded her in death February 2, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and 12 sisters and brothers.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra Boulden and husband Bill and their two sons Craig Boulden and wife Kathy, and Chad Boulden and wife Kelly three sons Rocky Bruce Neel and friend Alyson and children Wesley Neel and wife Lisa, and Edana Yates and husband Otis John H. Neel, Jr. and wife Tammy and their children Scott Neel, Jarad Neel, Dalaci, Laramie, and Brianna Doug P. Neel and wife Dianna and their children Deonna Wade and husband Dane, and Dakota Neel many greatgrandchildren Brian, Conner, Caden, Colin, Marcus, Rory, Chloe, Madison, Tessa, Macy, Kacy, Kaleb, LaShay, and Jaislyn sister Grace Clanton brother Bones Newsom and wife Dean brotherinlaw George Neel and wife Georgetta sistersinlaw Marie Neel, Louise Capps and many nieces and nephews.

Some of her favorite times were at the holidays and the many birthdays where she woulod provide a meal for the special person of the day.
