Eva Miller

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 28, at First Christian Church for Lorraine Miller, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Miller, 89, died Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at the Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Rev. Gerald Harper will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott McCarthy, Mel Runyan, Johnny Wilson, Randy Hathorn, Ken Utzinger, and Geffory Hathorn. Mrs. Miller was born December 11, 1914 in Lingleville, Texas; the daughter of Clyle Glass and Mittie Whitaker Glass. On April 29, 1934 she was married to Charles V. Miller in Breckenridge, TX. She came to Artesia in 1939 from McCamey, Texas. He preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1991. She was a housewife and receptionist at the hospital for several years. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by a grandson and great-grandson. Survivors include Jane Watts and husband Sonny and their daughters Mendy Hathorn and family, and Mittie Runyan and family; Linda McCarthy and her children Scott McCarthy and family, Lori Wilson and family, and Gayla Utzinger and family; Patsy Miller and husband Martin and their daughters Toni Jane and family, and Teresa and family.
