Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Eusebia Granado of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Granado, 89, our beloved mother passed away December 24, 2020 at her home in Artesia.
Fr. V.J. will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Orlando Granado, Yvonne Luna, Matthew Wright, Jose Granado, Erica Granado and Victor Lujan.
Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29.
A rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace.
Eusebia was born October 29, 1931 in Artesia, the daughter of Florentino Navarrette and Julia (Briseno) Navarrette.
She married the love of her life on January 23, 1956 and in 2014 they celebrated 58 years of marriage. Mom and dad had 8 children Ruben, Gloria (Deceased), Delma, Yolanda, Roy, Alice, Gloria and Gracie.
Mom was a member of our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and was a Cursillista, a church lector, a Eucharistic minister, member of Hijas de Maria choir, and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Mom was a stay at home wife and mother until her youngest, Gracie began school. She went to work for the Artesia Public Schools as a bus driver and a migrant teacher's aid. She retired after 21 years of service.
She loved all her family unconditionally and not only raised her children but helped raise many of her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Mom loved the holidays especially Christmas and we celebrated every holiday in her home. She enjoyed camping, traveling, playing bingo, phase ten and doing word search puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parent's; husband Jose; daughter Gloria; sisters Eva Delgado and Dominga Correa; and brother Simon and Antonio Navarrette.
She is survived by her children; Ruben and wife Martha, Delma Beard and husband Daryl, Yolanda Nunez and husband Joe, Roy, Alice, Gloria and Gracie Wright; grandchildren Yvonne Luna and husband John, Joe Vale and wife Esther, Sylvia and husband Matthew, Orlando Granado, Steven Granado and wife Amanda, Tara Royce and husband Mike, Thomas and Michael Nunez, Joseph and Erica Granado, Sophia Rosales, John Granado and Tiffany, Jose Granado, Victor Lujan, Jeffrey Wright, Krista Gatz and Matthew Wright;
24 great-grandchildren Gauge, Jocelyne, Asper, Mya, Joseph, Luis, Kiana, Micah, Santiago, Giancarlo, Aaliyah, Alyssa, Sean, Iris, Dakota, Hunter, Brenden, Devan, Joshua, Sianna, Leyla, Elana, Sernity, Boy, Jasper, Darius, Kenlee and Parker; 1 great-great-grandchild Wyatt;
Sister's Ramona Aguirre, Erminia Ramirez and husband Joe, brother Cruz Navarrette and wife Martha; sister-in-laws Belen Marquez and husband Joe, Maggie Montoya and husband Dennis, brother-in-law Daniel Cortez and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her senior companion, Margaret Acosta whom became part of our family.
We want to thank J & J Homecare and Encompass for their compassionate care of our mom. We also want to thank Anita Acosta for coming to give mom the host when mama wasn't able to attend mass.
