Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Terpening Son Chapel for Eunice Norwood, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Norwood, 93, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Lakeview Christian Home in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

John Mezger will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jerry Tidwell, Don Tidwell, Andy Tidwell, Allen Claburn, Ryan Tidwell, Seth Tidwell, Tyler Finch and Eli Finch.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 4 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Norwood was born February 21, 1917 in Mitchell County, Texas the daughter of James Daniel King and Cynthia Ada House King.

On Jan. 21, 1935 she was married to Hugh Clarence Norwood in Carlsbad, NM. She was a lifelong Artesia area resident. He preceded her in death June 30, 2001.

She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church Lakewood, she loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them, she was a caregiver to numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Olan King and Don King.

Survivors include daughter Pat Claburn of Carlsbad sisterinlaw Nona King grandchildren Jerry Tidwell of Artesia, Don Tidwell and wife Sandi of Artesia, Andy Tidwell and wife Opal of Farmington, N.M., and Allen Claburn and wife Heather of Sonora, Texas greatgrandchildren Trisha Tidwell, Seth Tidwell, Krista Matthews, Chelsea Matthews, Ryan Tidwell, Tyler Finch, Eli Finch, Kaitlin Tidwell, Scott Tidwell, Andria Tidwell, Braxten Claburn and Braden Claburn greatgreatgrandson AJ Franco nephew Mike King and his son David nieces Brenda Snodgrass and her children Craig, Clark and Beth, and Cindy Cordova and her daughter Anna.
