Eunice Huffman

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 14, at Terpening Son Chapel for Eunice Huffman, 2200 W. Richardson 6, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Huffman, 88, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at Artesia General Hospital. James Parker will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons. Mrs. Huffman was born September 22, 1919 in Warrens Bend, Texas; the daughter of Sam Poston and Ada Morris Poston. On Nov. 1985 she was married to Joseph Huffman in Anson, Texas. She came to Artesia in 1981 from Ft. Stockton, Texas. He preceded her in death Dec. 1999. She was a homemaker and member of Freedom Vineyard Church in Carson City, Nevada. She enjoyed the Senior Citizen Center, dancing, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd James, granddaughter Melissa Morrison, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include sons Jerry McGuairt and wife Paula of Ft. Stockton, Texas, and Tim James and wife Susan of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter Pat Eaker and husband Clint of Artesia; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and longtime family friend Johnnie McGee and her son Scooter McGee.
