Eulalia Rodriguez

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Eulalia Araujo Rodriguez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Rodriguez, 95, died May 29, 2019 in Artesia.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services. Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carlos Rodriguez, Jon Rodriguez, Sonny Rodriguez, Jye Peterson, Michael Fernandez and Anthony Fernandez. Honorary pallbearers are Tori Holguin, Stephanie Mendoza, Mariah Peterson and Kourtney Ramirez.

A rosary will be held Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace.

Eulalia was born February 12, 1924 in Carlsbad NM; the daughter of Victor Araujo and Cecilia (Hernandez) Araujo. In 1945 she married Simon Rodriguez in Artesia. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1954. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

She was a housekeeper and a very devoted member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She worked for the E.H. Ward family for almost 60 years, loved spending time with her family and loved to cook.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons Richard Rodriguez, Robert Rodriguez and John Ramirez, 5 brothers and 3 sisters and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her step-mother Angela Araujo of Artesia; son Basilio Rodriguez and wife Yolanda of Artesia; daughters Cecilia Fernandez and husband John of El Paso, TX and Maryann Peterson of Artesia; 3 half-brothers and 3 half-sisters; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
