Etta Hensley

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 11, at Terpening Son Chapel for Etta Mae Hensley, 406 E. Richey Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Hensley, 67, died Tuesday, March 7, 2009 at her home. Rev. J.B. Craft will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Hensley was born June 15, 1941 in Rattan, Oklahoma; the daughter of Arthur Creel and Rosie Lee Pitchford Creel. On Nov. 19, 1957 she was married to Ellis Lee Hensely Jr. in Roswell, N.M. She was a lifetime resident of Artesia. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Ellis Lee Hensley Jr. of the family home; sons Alan Wayne Hensley of Artesia, and Terry Lynn Hensley of Artesia; daughters Etta Diane Hensley of Artesia, and Debra Ann Austin of Artesia; brother Haskel Creel of Oklahoma; sister Betty Baldwin of Davenport, Oklahoma; grandchildren Alan Wayne Hensley Jr., Melissa Ann Hensley, Christopher Lynn Hensley, Crystal Rachelle Dornan, Steven Ellis Lynn Hensley, Megan Rachelle Hensley, Michael John Hensley, Jennifer Nicole Hensley, Angelica Renae Austin, Jasmine Roshelle Austin and Eric John Austin; 2 great-grandsons.
