Esperanza Lugo

Rosary and Burial services are scheduled for 9:30 AM, Friday, October 30, 2020 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Esperanza Lara Lugo of Artesia, New Mexico.

Ms. Lugo, 68, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2020 in Las Cruces, NM.

Fr. V.J. will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isaiah Farmer, Christian Gutierrez, Eric Sanchez, Joseph Serrano, Eric Chavez and Paul Lugo.

Esperanza was born January 26, 1952 in Artesia, the daughter of Victoriano Lugo and Irene L Lugo. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She was a homemaker who loved to crochet blankets for her family, listening to music and spending time with family and freinds. Esperanza always had a playful personality that would light up a room. With heavy hearts we lose our beloved mom, granny and sister, but we find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and reunited with the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Robert Lugo.

Surviviors include daughter Annette and husband David Gutierrez, daughter Victoria Mendoza and Michael Farmer, and son Christopher Lugo all of Artesia, NM. Siblings: Juan and Sylvia Lugo of Artesia, NM. Thomas and Rita Lugo of Tucson, AZ. Luisa Lugo of Fort Kent, ME. Persilia and Joe Serrano of Artesia, NM. Along with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
