Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Woodbine Cemetery for Escolastico Reza, 14 Pheasant Rd., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Reza, 90, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at his home.
A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Pallbearers will be Ector Reza, Esequiel Reza, Eddie Reza, Ruben Madrid, Trinidad Malone and Celedonio Aranda.
Mr. Reza was born February 10, 1920 in El Mulato, Mexico the son of Anasticio Reza and Josefa Ramirez Reza.
On June 6, 1947 he was married to Manuela Navarrette in Minton, Texas. He came to Artesia in 1951 from Anthony, NM.
He was a very proud American and believed in hard work. He served in the United States Army during World War II in Guam and the Phillipines as a weapons crewman.
He was a farmer and member of the Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Estevan Reza.
Survivors include his wife Manuela sons Alfredo Pando, Escolastico Jr., Enrique, Eduardo, Ector, Esequiel daughters Enedina, Emma, Ernestina, Elena, Esperanza, Esther, Elvira, Elidia, Estella, Elisa, and Evangelina 60 grandchildren, 73 greatgrandchildren, and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren.
