Erminia Tesillo

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 11, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Erminia Valdez Tesillo, 1601 W. Centre Ave. Apt. D-1, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Tesillo, 56, died Thursday, March 7, 2002 at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia. Fr. Virgilio Flores and Manuel Carrera will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cruz Munoz, Robbie Hernandez, Pete Perez, Jr., Raul Velasquez, Benny Valdez and Jim Lara. Mrs. Tesillo was born April 25, 1945 in Artesia; the daughter of Emeterio Valdez and Juanita Garcia Valdez. On Nov. 21, 1980 she was married to Isabel S. Tesillo in Carlsbad, NM. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia. He preceded her in death Oct 11, 1982. She was a housewife and member of the Assembly of God in Lake Arthur, NM. A rosary will also be held at 6:30 P.M. Sunday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Ricky Garcia and Vicente Garcia, 2 sisters and a brother. Survivors include companion Gustavo Banderas of Artesia; son Larry Tesillo of Las Cruces, NM; daughter Martha Lara of Las Cruces; brothers Simon Valdez of Lovington, NM, Ismael Valdez of Lovington, Manuel Valdez of Roswell, NM, Angel Valdez of Hobbs, NM Isabel Valdez of Lovington; sisters Esperanza Valdez of Artesia, Teresa Navarrette of Artesia; 10 grandchildren.
