Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Encarnacion S. Naco Lopez, North 6th Street, Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Lopez 83, died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the Mission Arch Care Center in Roswell, New Mexico. PFr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hector Lopez, Gabriel Lopez, Joel Aguirre, Manuel Efren Lopez, Eric Donato Lopez, and Manuel Melendez, Jr. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A Prayer service will be at Our Lady of Grace Tuesday beginning at 6:30 p.m. PMr. Lopez was born March 25, 1923 in Presidio, Texas; the son of Clemente Silbas and Leonarda Zavala Silbas. He was raised by his godfather Gonzalo Lopez. PEncarnacion moved to Artesia in 1942 from Texas. On Nov. 17, 1945 he was married to Estefana Lopez in Artesia. She preceded him in death March 24, 1990. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his godfather, a son, three brothers, and a sister. PHe was a farm laborer and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and the Cursillistas.
Survivors include his sons Manuel Lopez and wife Carmen of Artesia, Enrique Lopez and wife Maria of Artesia, and Carlos Lopez of Odessa, Texas; daughter Mary Helen Aguirre and husband Hugo of Artesia; sister Tina Trejo of Dudleyville, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
