Emma Hernandez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 4 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Emma B. Hernandez, 2722 W. Richardson Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Hernandez, 56, died Saturday, December 1, 2001 at Artesia General Hospital. Father Virgilio Flores will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lupe Bejarano, Lucas Bejarano, Robert Martinez, James Herrera, Joe Hernandez and Arturo Hernandez. A Rosary service is also planned for 6:30 P.M. Monday at Our Lady of Grace. Mrs. Hernandez was born September 8, 1945 in Marfa, Texas; the daughter of Gabino Bejarano and Rosa Garcia Bejarano. She came to Artesia in 1948 from Texas. On August 1, 1964, she was married to Paul Chino Hernandez in Artesia. She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her parents; and by a sister Enedina Martinez in 1994. Survivors include her husband Paul Chino Hernandez, Sr. of the family home; sons Paul Tiro Hernandez, Jr. and wife Jennie and Gary Hernandez and wife Cassie all of Artesia; a daughter Angela Hernandez of Artesia; brothers Sam Bejarano, Daniel Bejarano and Gabino Bejarano all of Artesia; sisters Elodia Rivera and Esperanza Marquez and husband Lupe all of Artesia; grandchildren Haley, Alexandria, Morgan, Kassandra, Deona, Marissa, Robert, Ryan, Kalob and Jacob; and a nephew Martin Martinez of Artesia.
