Emily Florez

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Artesia, N.M. for Emily Ann Florez of Artesia.

Ms. Florez, 32, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at her home.

Fr. Martin Cornejo will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery.

Visitation at Terpening & Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday. A Rosary will be held that evening at 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

Emily was born April 14, 1983 in Roswell, New Mexico; the daughter of Roger Jones and Jackie Boling Jones. She was a lifelong area resident.

She was a Sales Associate and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Emily graduated from Artesia High School in 2001. She was in Choir and was in the Who's Who of American High School Students for two years. Emily was a devoted mother, witty, funny and caring.

Survivors include her parents Roger and Jackie Jones of Artesia; children Mateo Florez and Janayah Florez of the family home; sister Pam Jimenez; uncles and aunts Mike and Jamie Boling, Mark and Stacy Boling, Ronnie and Peggy Jones and Ralph Jones; nieces Andrea and Gracie Jiminez; several cousins and a host of friends.
