Elvira Grado

A memorial service is scheduled for Elvira Segura Grado at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lake Arthur, New Mexico.

Mrs. Grado, 74, died February 7, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas.

Elvira was born August 2, 1942 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico; the daughter of Lucio Segura and Justina Romero Segura.

On December 11, 1961, she was married to Isidro Grado in Morton, Texas. She came to Artesia from Santa Rosa in 1961.

She was a house wife and enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lake Arthur.

She is survived by her husband Isidro Grado; a son Isidro Grado Jr of Lake Arthur; daughters Juanita Gurrola of Artesia, and Diana Grado of Artesia; brothers Joe Segura of Roswell, NM, Jessie Segura of Lake Arthur; sister Mary Campos of Lake Arthur; a nephew Phillip Segura of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren Jaeven Grado, Janeesa Grado, Jaethen Grado and Samantha Gurrola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Eddy Segura, sister Christie Valenzuela and a nephew Eric Segura.
