ELVIN E. REISER

Memorial services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, September 16, at West Main Baptist Church, for Elvin E. Reiser, 309 N. York St., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Reiser, 75, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at his home.

Cremation will take place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Jason Kraft will officiate at the services.

Elvin was born December 30, 1937 in Sterling, Kansas the son of William Reiser and Josephine Graf Reiser. He came to Walker Air Force Base in Roswell in 1956 from Kansas.

On May 24, 1959 he was married to Doris Lewis in Carlsbad, NM.

He served in the United States Air Force.

He worked in maintenance in the potash mines, and was a member of West Main Baptist Church, Moose Lodge, past Governor and Fellowship Degree in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, loved to fly and was a member of the O.A.P. Flying Organization.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Norman and Junior.

Survivors include his wife Doris Reiser of Artesia brothers Homer Reiser of Ellinwood, Kansas, and Howard Reiser and wife Wilma of Pryor, Oklahoma sister Lisa Hazel Keuhler of Ft. Worth, Texas Ramona and Sam Karr of Artesia, Dean and Jerry Baskett of Gardendale, Texas, and Larry and Christa Lewis of Artesia numerous nieces and nephews.
