Elsie Mann

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Terpening Son Chapel for Elsie Dell Mann, 61 Pecos Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Mann, 90, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.

Leslie Hendrix will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Mann, Jr., Eric Mann, Milton Pennington, Bill Seirson, Scooter McGee and Tommy Dewey.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Elsie was born August 13, 1922 in Hope, New Mexico the daughter of Elbert Claude Holt and Hettie Lee McCabe Holt. She came to Artesia in lifelong area resident.

She was married to C. Bert Mann on July 8, 1939 in Carlsbad, NM. He preceded her in death on Feb. 1999.

She was a housewife and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons James Mann and Gale Dean Mann, a daughter Gloria Jean Mann, a granddaughter, a grandson, a greatgrandson and a greatgranddaughter, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her companion Larry Evans of Artesia sons Clifton Mann and wife Billie of Lovington, N.M., and Terry Mann of Artesia daughter Charlotte Hudson of Artesia 18 grandchildren and numerous greatgrandchildren and greatgreatgrandchildren.
