Eloisa Martinez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 25,at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Eloisa Rodriguez Martinez, 807 W. Cleveland Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Martinez, 86, died Saturday, April 20, 2013 in Roswell, New Mexico.

A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jason Segura, Jaime Segura, Steven Martinez, Lauterio Martinez, Selso Martinez, Jr., and Robert Sanchez, Jr.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Eloisa was born June 24, 1926 in Ruidosa, Texas the daughter of Manuel Rodriguez and Petra Calanche Rodriguez. She came to Artesia in the 1950s from Mexico.

In 1952 she was married to Selso Martinez in Barrancos, Mexico. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 2012.

She was a housewife and a member of the Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.

Survivors include sons Selso Martinez, Jr. of Roswell, NM, and Lauterio Martinez of Artesia daughter Ramona Segura of Artesia 6 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren several nieces and nephews.
