Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, at First Presbyterian Church for Elizabeth Gracey Webster Fairey, 708 W. Bullock Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Fairey, 97, died Saturday, October 31, 2009 at her home. Terry McKean will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Webster Dean, Benjamin Fairey, Gary Sims, Benjamin Webster, Jesse Webster and Van Webster. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Fairey was born June 15, 1912 in Cisco, Texas; the daughter of Arthur Webster and Susie Gracey Webster. On November 25, 1933 she was married to J.A. Fairey in Amarillo, Texas. She came to Artesia in 1942 from Nashville, Tennessee. He preceded her in death August 18, 1987. She was a housewife. She was very active in the community and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, received a Teaching Certificate from S.M.U., past president of the Artesia General Hospital Women's Auxiliary, member of Pi Beta Phi Sororiety, avid bridge player and member of the Country Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Van A. Webster. Survivors include a sister Margaret Webster Dean; brothers Arthur A. Webster, Jr., and Charles H.
