Elinora Baca

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Trinity Temple Assembly of God for Elinora "Nora" Samora Baca of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Nora Baca, 83, passed away on July 13, 2019 in Lubbock, TX.

Pastor Bobby Argo will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary. The burial of the cremated remains will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery.

Nora was born August 11, 1935 in Artesia, NM; the daughter of Ajello Samora and Elodia (Alaniz) Samora. In 1953 she married Joe Baca in Artesia, NM.

Nora was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife, and beloved friend. Nora was a well respected beautician, a devoted member of Trinity Temple Assembly of God and loved the Lord. Nora was also involved in the Women's Fellowship group at the church. Nora enjoyed knitting, crocheting and other crafts and loved to cook for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Valerie K. Baca, five brothers and one sister.

Loving survivors include her husband Joe of Artesia; son Joe Jeffrey Baca of Albuquerque, NM; daughter Karen Thompson Trotter and son-in-law Michael Trotter of El Paso, TX; brother Rudy Samora of California; sisters Viola Lopez of California, Ida Ornelas of Artesia and Janie Samora of Albuquerque; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
