Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Edna Frances Kilpatrick of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Kilpatrick, 90, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Artesia General Hospital.

Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Kilpatrick, Michael Kilpatrick, Keith Kilpatrick,Luke Smith, Kelly Doshier, Larry Bowman, Mark Bowman, and Smith Allen.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Edna was born January 11, 1921 in Montague County, Texas the daughter of Thomas Jonathan Doshier and Elsie Hutson Doshier.

Edna Graduated High School from Whitharral High in 1938. She then attended Draughns Business School in Lubbock, Texas.

On Dec. 19, 1944 she was married to James H. Kilpatrick in Jackson, Mississippi. She came to Artesia in November of 1956. He preceded her in death August 25, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

She was a homemaker and also was the Secretary to the President of General Telephone in Lubbock. Edna was also a member of First Baptist Church of Artesia.

Survivors include her sons James L. Kilpatrick and wife Bonnie of Artesia, and Roger L. Kilpatrick and wife Ramona of Artesia daughter Karen A. Kilpatrick of Artesia brothers Leroy Doshier and wife Jeanice of Whitharral, Alvin Doshier of Whitharral, and Don Doshier of Whitharral brothersinlaw Ralph Parker of San Angelo, TX, E.J. Kilpatrick of Boaz, Alabama, and Eugene Kilpatrick and wife Joan of Boaz sistersinlaw Alene Crow of Remlap, Alabama, Glenda Westmoreland and husband Howard of Boaz, and Lois Kilpatrick of Boaz grandchildren Brian L. Kilpatrick and fiance Wendy of Artesia, Michael Kilpatrick and wife Marissa of Murphy, TX, Keith A. Kilpatrick and wife Staci of Artesia, and Courtney E. Smith and husband Luke of Glendale, Arizona and greatgrandchildren Kamdyn Kilpatrick, Hailey Kilpatrick, and Berkley Kilpatrick.
