Graveside services are scheduled at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Woodbine Cemetery for Edgar Buddy McCrory, 302 N. 4th St., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. McCrory, 87, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Veterans Honors will be performed at the cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be his coffee drinking buddies from BB Newsstand.
Mr. McCrory was born April 4, 1923 in Eaton, Illinois the son of Eugene Flautt McCrory and Maude Hill McCrory.
On 1943 he was married to Mary E. Daugherty in El Paso, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Artesia. She preceded him in death 1996.
He served in the United States Air Force during World War II.
He was a business owner and savvy investor. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by a sister, 2 brothers and a granddaughter.
Survivors include a son Phillip Gene McCrory daughters Victoria Sharon Kennedy, Carol Ann Gilmore, Suzanne Jeanette McCrory, and Deborah Lynn McCrory 6 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren nephews Tim McCrory, Robin McCrory, Mike McCrory and Dale Alexander.
