Eddie Cartwright

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at West Main Baptist Church for Eddie Cartwright, Loco Hills, New Mexico. Mr. Cartwright, 56, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Artesia General Hospital. Belton Mathews will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Cartwright was born April 30, 1953 in Bloomfield, W. Virginia; the son of Thomas Edward Cartwright Sr. and Mattie Louise RatliffCartwright. He came to Artesia in 1988 from Louisiana. On October 25, 1997 he was married to Connie Crenshaw in Loco Hills. He served in the United States Army. He was a pumper and member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Dean Cartwright and a brother Jerry Cartwright. Survivors include his wife Connie Cartwright of the family home; sons Darrell Cartwright of Carlsbad, N.M., Robert Cartwright of Loco Hills, Sam Hayes of T or C, N.M., and Barney Hayes of Loco Hills; daughters Cheryl Cole of Okemah, Oklahoma, Kimberly Hayes of Alamogordo, N.M., Amanda Hayes of Loco Hills, and Jennifer Hayes of Loco Hills; brother David Cartwright of Partridge, Missouri; sisters Barbara DeLosh of Roswell, N.M., Patricia Mobley of Copperopolis, California, and Sue Cartwright of Carlsbad; 4 grandchildren.
