Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at West Main Baptist Church for Dwight Russell Youtsey, 1608 W. Bullock Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Youtsey, 73, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at his home.
Jason Kraft and Mike Spencer will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Alvarez, Glen Kaiser, Raymond Clark, Mark McCaleb, Matt Conn, and Darrin Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Senior Adult Sunday School Group Don Bennett, Larry Dade, Elvin Reiser, Ray Taylor, John Knight, Ken Moore, Gene Peterson, Johnny Ellis and L.J. Cone.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Dwight was born March 28, 1939 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Clarence W. Youtsey and Celia Shepard Youtsey. He was a longtime resident of Artesia.
On March 17, 1962 he was married to Vesta Walker in Artesia, NM.
He was a master sheet metal craftsman, and a member of West Main Baptist Church. Dwight was a loving, humble man with the greatest love possible for his wife and children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Milton Youtsey, sisters Colita Gladfelter and Geraldine Eavenson, and his lifelong best friend Travis Scott.
Survivors include his wife Vesta Youtsey of the family home son Jeffrey Youtsey and wife Penny of Artesia daughter Nancy Peterson and husband Mark of Artesia sisters Norma Terrell of Batesville, Arkansas, and Lynda Mitchell of Lufkin, Texas grandchildren Chelsea Bilberry and husband Justin, Chandler Youtsey, Kaylee Peterson, and Tyler Peterson motherinlaw Alta Walker of Artesia numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the N.M. Baptist Childrens Home, Portales, N.M., or charity of choice.
