Dwain Felton

Services for Dwain Burton Felton, 79, a horse trainer for roping and barrel horses, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013, at Terpening and Son Mortuary Chapel in Artesia, New Mexico, with Rev. Carter Edmondson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:008:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Lacy Funeral Home and from 6:008:00 p.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Terpening and Son Mortuary.

Dwain was born in Cottonwood, New Mexico, on April 9, 1934, to James Houston and Ludee Ruth Wells Felton. He married Cleo Ray on June 27, 1957, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. She preceded him in death on February 20, 2012.

Dwain retired from Navajo Refinery after 35 years of service.

Survivors include his children, David Felton and wife, Donna, of Weatherford, Texas, Neal Felton and wife, Vanette, of Mt. Home, Texas, Selena Felton of Artesia, New Mexico, Judy Harrison and husband, Kim, of Artesia, New Mexico, and Shawn Felton and wife, Missy, of Stephenville, Texas two brothers, John Felton and wife, Dorothy, of Lancaster, California, and Bobby Felton and wife, Heather, of Lakeway, Texas six grandchildren, Dakota Felton, Shaina Felton, Hayden Harrison, Hayley Harrison, Dustin Boyce and fiance, Rachael Basham, and Sy Felton one greatgrandchild, Lakyn Boyce.
