Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, at Woodbine Cemetery for Doyle Ray Buchanan, 2105 E. Mill Rd., Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Buchanan, 37, died Monday, January 29, 2007 at his home. PRev. Jean Riley will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Joe Greenwood, Danny Forlines, Gary Greenwood, Keenan Kern, Eddie Foster, Ralph Shoemaker, Todd Buchanan and Bob Buchanan. Honorary pallbearers will be all other cousins. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. PMr. Buchanan was born February 14, 1969 in Artesia; the son of Jack Buchanan and Edith Newman Buchanan. POn Oct. 20, 2001 he was married to Nancy Wiedmeier in Artesia. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia. PHe was a sales clerk and member of the Methodist denomination. PHe was preceded in death by his father Jack Buchanan, grandparents Horace and Norma Buchanan and Lloyd and Edith Newman.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Buchanan of the family home; mother Edith Devine and husband Frank of Artesia; son Christopher Buchanan of Artesia; daughters Cara Buchanan of Artesia, and Kim Ahern of Mesa, Arizona; sisters Karen Forlines and husband Danny of Artesia, and Kathy Greenwood and husband Joe of Artesia; step-sisters Sherry Fleming of Lubbock, Texas, and Franki Fox of Las Cruces, N.M.; step-brother Jim Devine of Artesia; 2 step-grandchildren; nephew and nieces Gary Greenwood, Jennifer Kern, Carrie Greenwood, Jackie Foster, and Jamie Forlines; 5 great-nephews.
